R.I.P our dearest Frisky

We watched our darling kitty cat Frisky breathe her last breath tonight. My heart and soul is shattered into a million pieces.😭

I’ve never seen a cat with a more selfless personality (and we’ve had many cats). Through high school years of Fadeelah & Abdurahmaan, through my technikon years, and through the university years of all 3 of us, she stayed up and would sit with us while we worked and studied. Her eyes would fall closed already from tiredness, but she would force herself awake, steadfast on that seat until we were done and went to bed. The only time she was selfish was when she plonked herself down in the middle of the prayer mat while we made salaah, usually on Dad’s mat.

Gentle, sensitive, loving, quiet, sweet. Frisky, I know if I were crying for anyone else right now you would come and sit here and console me. You were so brave during your short illness. I’m glad you didn’t suffer for long, and grateful that we all had the opportunity to say goodbye. 😢

Thank you for all the love you gave this family during your 16 years. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH, and always will! 💔❤️💔
